The Art of Storytelling - 4-Session Photography Workshop

This 4-session workshop will focus on how to narrate photographic essays from an effective and original perspective by looking at practical ways of conceptualizing a body of work through investigation, critique and discussion. It will also analyse how to draw upon ones circumstances and utilize them in the work process to develop stronger visual language and personal style.
Participants are expected to come to the workshop with a project they have already begun working on, or an idea they would like to initiate, and to consider what is the goal of the project – personal, social or artistic for example.

OBJECTIVES:
- To narrate photographic essays from an effective and original perspective
- Conduct relevant investigation about the important aspects of the activities and themes that are to be communicated in the photos
- Emphasise the editing and presentation of a final body of work and different ways of doing so

ACTIVITIES:
- Participants will present their projects and advances each session and receive feedback
- Be introduced to other well-known and emerging photographers as sources of inspiration
- Undertake investigation or realize activities to advance with their projects
