It is with heavy hearts to say we’re at a very difficult crossroads.
As of late May we’ve been facing some harsh financial realities. We’ve always struggled to keep up. Living off small membership fees and bar sales at a venue people don’t drink a lot is what has made our space unique, safe, and special. But not financially feasible.
We’ve always managed with the communities support. Now with our lease renewal on the table, facing a rent increase, and our current activities not generating enough revenue, we face closing down.
We want to be open and honest about the situation, where our model and capacity has weak points, our events are coming up short, and where things started to come up short, so we’re writing a blog post linked here soon to give you the full picture.
But in the meantime, we’re in an urgent need.

$1 a Day ($7 a week). Thats all. The price of a scone.
1-off Donation to help us cover immediate debts.
We’re encouraging the subscription because this isn’t just a single hurdle. Before we can commit to the lease, we need to know the community is backing us and the future team to build our capacity back up over the coming months.
Our only hope is in numbers taking action.
We’ve worked so hard to get this far.
And we won’t give up that easy.

A clubhouse and lab for creatives
We facilitate a space & collaborative opportunities for creatives to develop their ideas, skills, networks, and brands.
Our organization was founded on the basis of providing affordable space to produce, showcase, and share creative work alongside other creatives & entrepreneurs. What we learned over the course of 10 years was that the need for a 3rd space was invaluable to creative development; i.e. it’s not just about creative events and when the artists are on stage, but it’s the time in between, where their mental, social, and creative health is cared for and their wider needs are considered.
