19months, 755 hand-illustrated pages, 236 litres of coffee - and One Grand AddVenture.

In March 2015 we pitched a pretty wacky idea at the Ministry of Awesome's Coffee & Jam. It was called "Rebuild This City", and it was an interactive activity guide to Christchurch, designed to help residents and visitors creatively connect to Christchurch.

We've spent nearly two years working towards making that book a reality, and now RE:Edit Publishing is stoked to release AddVenture Christchurch on the 21st October 2016 at XCHC - and we would love for you to join us for the launch.

This is not the end of a journey, but just the beginning of what we hope will be many AddVentures to come.

At the launch, you'll have an opportunity to not just see the first edition of AddVenture, but help us RE:Edit the book for its first large print run (what does this involve? coloured pens, post-its, and a healthy dose of humour!).

We'll also share with you our very own adventure, from day zero, to EPIC, to starting an independent publishing company that has - to date - published nine privately commissioned books for customers ranging from New York exchange students to Silicon Valley CEOs. During the evening, you'll hear from a few of the key figures in RE:Edit and AddVenture's development, members of the community who made this project possible from day one.

Bring your smartphones and tablets with you if you're interested in test-venturing the first beta version of AddVenture Christchurch in digital form. The event starts at 6pm and ends, at the latest, at 8pm. Our exhibition of AddVenture materials and the RE:Edit portfolio will be available to experience, re-edit, and re-discover all week until the 28th

We hope the AddVenture will be something for young and old to participate in; this will be a family-friendly occasion so feel free to bring along your mini-adventurers, too. We look forward to seeing you there!"
